At Rayna Edibles, we take great pride in sourcing and supplying high-quality African groceries and wholesale food products to our European customers.
We handle every order with care to ensure freshness and authenticity. However, we understand that issues may arise occasionally and have established this refund policy to guide how refunds, returns, and replacements are handled.
 
This policy applies to all purchases made through raynaedibles.com.
 
 
2. Eligibility for Refund or Replacement
 
Refunds or replacements are only considered under the following conditions:
•Damaged or Defective Items:
If products arrive damaged, spoiled, or defective due to shipping or packaging errors.
•Incorrect or Missing Items:
If the products received differ from what was ordered (wrong quantity, product, or size).
•Expired Products:
If you receive items that are past their expiration or best-before date.
 
Due to the perishable and consumable nature of our goods, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds for:
•Items opened, used, or partially consumed.
•Orders delayed due to customs clearance or courier handling outside our control.
•Buyer’s remorse or change of mind after order dispatch.
 
 
3. Reporting an Issue
 
To ensure a prompt resolution:

•Include your order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos of:
•The packaging
•The product(s) in question
•The shipping label
 
Claims submitted after 48 hours of delivery may not be eligible for a refund or replacement.
 
 
4. Resolution Options
 
After verification, we will take one of the following actions:
•Replacement: Ship the affected items again at no extra cost.
•Partial Refund: For a portion of the order affected.
•Full Refund: Only if the entire order is defective or unavailable for replacement.
 
Refunds are processed to the original payment method used during checkout within 7–10 business days after approval.
 
 
5. Order Cancellations
 
Orders can only be cancelled within 12 hours of placement, provided they have not yet been processed or dispatched.
Once an order is shipped, it cannot be cancelled or refunded unless it meets the criteria in Section 2.
 
 
6. Shipping Delays and Customs
 
Rayna Edibles ships from Nigeria to Europe using registered courier and freight partners.
While we aim for timely delivery, customs inspections, logistics delays, or import restrictions may occasionally affect timelines.
 
We are not responsible for:
•Delays caused by customs clearance.
•Additional import duties, VAT, or courier surcharges imposed by the destination country.
•Products held or disposed of by customs due to local import restrictions.
 
 
7. Wholesale Orders
 
For bulk or wholesale orders, refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If approved, refunds may be issued as store credit or account balance to be used against future orders.

9. Governing Law
 
This policy is governed by the laws of Nigeria, with consideration for EU consumer protection regulations for customers based in the European Union.
Any disputes will be handled in accordance with Nigerian law, unless otherwise required by mandatory EU consumer protection rules.

Refunds:

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges:

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at {email address} and send your item to: {physical address}.

Gifts:

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping Returns:

To return your product, you should mail your product to: {physical address}.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
